Preparation and Planning

Who should do end of life planning?

It is never too soon to do some preparation to make your end of life wishes known. This can include formal things like Lasting Power of Attorney and making a Will but can also extend far beyond this to take into account your psychological, emotional, spiritual, sensory and social needs and wishes. This can help to provide peace of mind and reduce future uncertainty.

How can I support you with this?

Putting plans in place

  • Helping you to understand the different types of advance planning you can do and supporting you to navigate this
  • Supporting you to get your affairs in order, whatever that means for you
  • Creating time and space for you to think about the things that could bring you comfort at the end of your life, helping you to prioritise what matters most

Making daunting conversations easier

  • Helping to facilitate conversations with people around you about your needs and wishes
  • Holding space for tender conversations as you approach the end of your life
  • Helping you to identify a support network who you can rely on at the end of your life

Understanding what matters to you

  • Supporting you to plan your funeral, or other events like a living wake
  • Working with you on a legacy project, helping you to reflect on your life and create something lasting for others, affirming that every life has meaning and every story deserves to be remembered
  • Supporting with bucket list wishes

Isn't this a bit uncomfortable and morbid?

Not at all!

Conversations about death do not ‘tempt fate’. Knowing that you have made some plans and shared your wishes with those close to you can help bring peace of mind and reinforce the importance of living every moment. I do this at your pace and bring creative resources to help make it an enjoyable experience.
