As humans, we have always used rituals to help us make sense of big life events and transitions. For people who do not follow a religion, it can be harder to access meaningful rituals that help us to reflect on life, death and our place in the universe and to honour the people we love who have died. Even if we are not religious, we still feel a need to nourish our spiritual lives and to address the longings of our soul.
Simple rituals and symbolic acts can create profound meaning and connection in our lives. They can help us to express our values and beliefs and can be an anchor to help ground ourselves and others at times of deep distress.
My work involves helping you to reflect on what matters, so that we can craft rituals together that help you find meaning and connection. My work aims to draw on old cultural traditions which feel authentic to our time and place. I use the rhythms of the seasons and where we are in the Celtic Wheel of the Year as a starting point. I believe that our connection to the earth is our way in to connect to something bigger than ourselves and to finding solace in nature.
